At the very outset I would like to state that patients have faith in the hospitals and at the same time believes in prayers, God and or Nature or Supreme power behind the happenings in the world. Recovery of health loss is the prime consideration and objectives are linked to existance of life, therefore relatively less importance, attached to inadequate staffing, loss of personal items or valuables and or defficient care, gets reduced to such a level that patients are reluctant to complain. Patients are more concerned about their sufferings and keep on repeating the old saying that if wealth is lost nothing is lost and if health is lost then someting is lost and when you are dead nothing matters to you. Patients are more concerned about the positivity to live and thus pay less attention to negative incidents. Further, they are not in the frame of mind to fight and or complain under the hope that these are temporary and or isolated incidents and there are others who will take the appropriate actions (care) to improve the conditions. At times, these incidents remain unnoticed for quite some time and or come to the notice of the patients after lapse of days of occurrences with little hope of any remedy. Most of the times patients are unaware about their rights and or may not have the cognitive powers and or comprehend that they are victims of such mishappenings and or supposed to file complaints not only in their interests but in the interests of the public at large.
