Before applying the any kind of theories here we have to do some ground work to fill the gap like:-

Engage people in decisions about the esthetic design of their collective workplace. Let people decorate their personal work space if the decoration will not interfere with other people or violate important policy.

Eliminate rules and policies that reduce work enjoyment without providing a measured benefit that is greater than the loss of commitment they cause. If modified, would increase their efforts result.

2. How might these theories work together to properly motivate the team?

Yes it will definetely motivate the team because it might be possible this team not did good because of lack of communication, irregular meeting or motivation session, similar work resposbility, and differences in employees thoughts or work experince. But with the proper session, brain boost up session and filling gap not this team any other team in world can do good and also give extra ordinary result.
