They move from forming, storming, norming to performing and conclude by adjourning by the completion of the project. On the other hand, punctuated equilibrium model argues that groups do not naturally evolve to form an effective team, but encounter a mid-point crisis which forces members of the team to improve their performance and establish new roles and norms for achieving project objectives
