Enterprise Architecture plays an important role in supporting a business transformation and evolution by answering five critical questions :

1. How is company's strategic growth plan is supported.

2. Can this growth plan be achieved within a specified time frame and defined budget.

3. How enterprise architecture support leadership in decision making.

4. How new capabilities can be achieved.

5. How organizations can avoid becoming the next target.

Obstacle that will be faced by the IT organizational leader in order to support organizational information is the data privacy. You can not breach into somebody's privacy and access his/her data but at the same time, you have to ensure that no one is acarrying the data that is prohibited as per the company's policies or is unethical.
