The consumers would be the ultimate losers of protectionist measures as they would have to pay more.There would be a kimited impact on the jobs in the domestic market as instead of imports tgings would required to be produced locally boosting local employment,however it is important to understand that this would impact the competitiveness of the country in the long run.
