1. a. bargaining power of customer----Farmers who won deer product are loyal to the brand and would only buy parts that fit the brand name. A unique difference about buying a deere is that everything comes complimentory by color and fit. At the time of great depression in 1932 ,when its revenue decreases , even through deer company was loosing money ,the company management chose not to repossess farm equipment owned by farmer unable to make payment during the depression . this can be seen in the fact that deere and company was the world leading manufacturer of agricultural and foresty equipments.

2. Bargaining power of supplier-----deer has manufacturing plant in the united state, located in seven states. Also expansion plans called for new manufacturing locations in key market that were to be completed in 2013 and ready in 2014 to support increased production.

Deere also understand the importance of delivering value, understanding customer, and also offering world class distribution centre. deere also increase its customer base across key region. the leaders at deere realizes that they could improve the market share of north america as well. the choices the company made has strengthen its competative advantage. I think the chompany choose to increase the horizontal scope of the firm. the company is seeking to grow and is attempting to enhance its presence in newer markets.

Yes, Deere has increases in scope has been a part of its international strategy. specifically the company planned to advance operations and increase market share across six key market. the united state, canada, brazil, china, russia, india nd european union. The international strategy can be best characterized as a transnational strategy. this is due to the fact that deere company have developed international strategy concentrated in generating compitative advantage in domestic and emerging markets around the world to capitalize on the industry opportunities.
