Explanation / Answer

The four components of emotional intelligence are:

1. Self Awareness - This is how an individual thinks and how the person perceives, assess or evaluate their emotions. In this phase the individual actually needs to take a step back and reflect on the actions and how it would have been done better and effective.

2. Self Management - This is how the individual has control over their personal emotion, based on a situation and the reaction of the individual on a particular situation is important and effective in this context.

3. Social Awareness - This is generally the knowledge the individual possess regarding the organization and how the individual will react and handle situations based on the same.

4. relationship Management - I believe that for a leader it is one of the most important aspect where the individual needs to manage a team and develop relationship for the betterment and performance of the team as well.

I believe that the strongest personality trait that will help me succeed in my career is the ability to develop and manage effective and healthy relationships so that helps me as an individual and professional to grow.

There has been a lot of situations where my emotional intelligence helped me overcome an issue for example with a diverse team, conflict is quite common and while managing conflicts my self awareness and self management has helped me in the same to overcome such issues and resolve the conflicts.
