Process analysis is a tool by which an organization can make it's business more effective and customer centric. It helps by focussing more on quality, reducing time in providing the service and by eliminating wastages.
A place of high customer contact is the juncture in the process analysis, where customer interaction is the highest. Now why is customer contact important to a business ? Simple, to take valuable feedback. As we all know, customer is always the king, hence a customer's viewpoint is always important with regards to making improvization to the product/service and thereon maintaining loyal customers.
The most important factors for any business are 1) Their Employees and 2) Their Customers.
For a Bagel deli, places of high customer contact will be at the order and re-order counter and if they are asked to give feedback at their end. At the order counter, the employees will come to know what customizations the customers want in their order or which is the most most popular bagel in their eatery. The employee will also come to know why customers don't like a particular variety of bagel or side order and what can be done to make it more likeable.
The best performance evaluation tool herein will be 'Management by Objective' wherein the manager or employer has set certain goals for the employee and the employee achieves those goals. In this case, the goal will be to increase the customers at the bagel or maintain existing customers. Another method which can prove effective in performance evaluation is by E-mailing or texting a short feedback to the customers and getting genuine and reliable feedback from the customers. Domino's Pizza is one of the leading fast food chains which has implemented this feedback method into their employee performance evaluation system.
