The video explains the concept of frequency distribution through the example of dancers. It shows how an order can emerge from chaos. It suggests that data may not seem to be in order but still examining and visualising it in a proper manner can help understand the relation between them and the factor/parameter that may relate them together. As the video depicts the dancers when randomly arranged appeared to be a chaos but when they rearranged themselves according to their dancing speed we could see a pattern emerge together which follows a characteristic shape, in this case a bell-shaped curve.
Frequency distribution is a way of organizing data which depicts each score against how frequently (the number of times) it occurred in the data. An example of this is depicted in the video where the speed of dancers is considered on the horizontal axis as the parameter considered for organizing the data and the frequency /number of dancers is depicted in the vertical axis. The resulting curve is normally distributed and bell-shaped also termed as Gaussian distribution.
