Human capital theory says economic development of a nation is reflected by the quality of its education. Thus with much more well educated people better the chances of improved economic development in the country. As per National Economic and Development Authority majority of unemployment are from high school graduates thus parents demand from government better education policies and systems which indeed can facilitate to create better jobs.
Thus a knowledge based economy indeed can help enhance Philippines capability to innovate, adapt and create indigenous technology. Furthermore it would facilitate to design, develop, and market new products which indeed can assist in creating indigenous growth. Thus it’s important for Philippines government to perceive a comprehensive and modernized based model of governance which indeed can facilitate economic growth and create new jobs.
Thus it’s important for Philippines to describe World Bank that it could develop into an economy where it would be capable to acquire, create, spread and apply the knowledge which in fact can help to promote development. For instance knowledge economies like Singapore, Finland, South Korea, China, India and US have effectively been able to take advantage of the power of technological change to attain a level of global competition and develop their people’s skills.
