2. DALY is  disability-adjusted life year. It measures the overall disease burden. It is the he sum of years of life lost and years lived with disability.

Global burden of disease (GBD) project divides DALYs into three catagories:

i) Communicable diseases

ii) Non-communicable diseases

i) Rational decision making- In this type of decision making, all the choices are compared logically and after thinking and calculating a lot, a decision has been made. The pros are future consequences are already being considered for the decision to be taken and it is a well planned process.

ii) Intuitive decision making-this process is completely based on human emotions and intuitions. The cons are that sometimes emotions may clog mind to take right decision

iii) Random decision making-people use very random approaches to take decision here which are purely based on luck. These impulsive decisions many time are not correct are thinking part doesnt happen for it.
