It makes incentive systems to be attractive and leaders use it to implement organizational change, as they think that it will motivate the employees and can create positive response among the employees towards the change process. It will facilitate the smooth transition and change will be successful.
For example, an incentive is created for those employees in the change process and its early stage, who can spread positive words about the change among the employees. In this regard, a supervisor or operator can be awarded the incentives if he convinces the employees regarding the positive aspects of the change and prevent negativity in the workforce. It is done in the early stage of the transformation process. The second case of incentive can be drawn upon the productivity who delivers the performance on a regular basis and achieve the performance benchmark. It only happens when the employee is convinced with the change initiatives. Here, employee should be rewarded with the incentives as he trusts the intentions of the leader.
