Your boss has asked you to review this task using the work physiology. (Resting HR-75bpm; Working HRate 145bpm). Answer both a AND b below. (a) Determine the %HRmax (show all calculations) (b) What does the equation tell you about the job (problems)? If there is problem(s) with the job task, how should it be improved? %HRmax-, (WHRate . RHR) (Est, HRmax , RHR) . 10096 Est. Hr max -220- age for females Est. Hr mas 205 - (age/2) for males (33 marks) 2. Answer both a AND b below (a) List and explain all the four "Principles of Application of Anthropometric Data", and provide at least two examples in each principle. (b) To determine if equipment, tool, or device is ergonomically designed, we need to ask 3 questions What are those 3 questions? Peovide at least one example in cach listed question (33 marks)

Explanation / Answer

1-a- % HR max= (WH Rate- RHR)/ (Est. HR Max-RHR)*100%

here WH Rate= 145 bpm

RHR= 75 bpm

Est. HR Max= 205- age/2= 205-54/2= 178

% HRMax= (145-75)/(178-75)*100%

=70/103*100%

=67.96%

b- % HRMax in this case is 67.96% which is roughly 2/3rd of estimated HR max, a person can do work upto this extent and I do not find anything which can show that there is job problem.
