The major similarities and differences between the manager I am replacing and myself are as below
· Technical Expert for problem resolving: I am more sound in technical knowledge than the previous manager, and have better technical skills and able to resolve many operation problems which can impact the production performance. I act like a technical coach for the employees and resolve their technical issues and queries.
· Administration focused approach: My main focus in on maintaining high level of operational administration so that the plant operation looks like an effective arrangement which runs smoothly. I am better placed in administration skill than previous manager.
· Expert in Motivational Approach: Motivation approach is the basic approach I use for employees so that they can focus on the performance in the production with better energy and commitment. Previous manager was weak in exploring motivation.
· Better Performance Achiever: I have a better approach of performance achieving in the production environment than previous manager. I focused on performance achievement in the organization with organizing the quick resolution of major issues and problems which can impacts the performance in the operations.
· Better Influencing Skills: I have better influencing skills than the previous manager, these results in better support and commitment from employees for achieving better performance in the organization.
· Better leadership Skills: I have better leadership skill than previous manager, this results in better management of the operations and delivering the target performance.
