The restaurant has thrived and even expanded to other markets outside the US, in continents such as Asia, Africa, and Europe. In Malaysia, the first KFC restaurant was opened in 1973 at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. One of the most effective tool for completive positing given by Michal Porter. This model indicates the competiveness of market by analyzing five key factors such as bargaining power of customers, bargaining power of suppliers, rivalry among existing competitors, threat of new entries and threat of substitute products.
