Explanation / Answer
Yes, we believe that the organization should always be willing to accept a project that requires immediate organization restructuring because if the project is able to value add within the overall supply chain of the organization then the management so immediately should take a strategic call and make sure the project is reducing the reduce the operating cost of the organization. Secondly, it is imperative for the organization to bring an internal employee who has been associated with the organization for over a long period of time, as they are the one who knows values / insights of the business.
Below are the factors for organizational re-structuring:
Answer 2: As per my perspective, Line and staff organizational structure is considered one of the best for R&D personnel to keep in touch with other researchers because, it helps them to divide on the basis of specialty i.e. the R&D researcher will have a dedicated to a single function and will be able to interact with one another which will eventually lead to knowledge sharing. The staffs are basically advisory in nature and are not functionally or administratively reporting to line managers.
Answer 3: Being the project manager for a large organization, it is imperative to document the facts and figures in order to operate effectively in dealing with project structures because whenever a project is started we need to work out on the entire lifecycle of the project which can developed with the help of historical data present with the organization, only then we can come up with timelines on how to implement, execute the project over a period of time.
Secondly, as a project manager we need to set a mandate / proposals on how much time, resources, manpower, infrastructure is required in order to imbibe the change within the existing business processes of the organization which can only be done with the help of documentation.
