Explanation / Answer
Professional development plan (PDP) can be formulated to upgrade the competencies of individuals, mangers or any employees within workplace. In HRM, PDP might be developed by senior people of the department to bring professionalism at workplace. It brings many positive outcomes to the organization in terms of low absenteeism, reduced employee turnover and increased contribution to the organizational goals accomplishments.
I will develop my own PDP as per the following steps:
1) I will prepare a sheet for self assessment which will be based upon true conditions applied at workplace and in personal life.
2) I will ask my friends to rate me on a scale of 5 in terms of nature, personality, attitude, behavior and social parameters.
3) I will get feedback from my fellow employees. This will give a true analysis related to my professional behvior and approach.
4) I will make a list of organizational and industry requirements from the professionals.
5) I will point out the gaps.
6) I will take help from mentors, professionals and institutions to develop such competencies which are not inherited with me within one year.
7) I will contribute to the organization by solving the challenges with learned professional knowledge, capabilities and enhanced skills sets. A feedback will be obtained from my close friends as well as office fellow to know the changed inherited me at now.
