Five management theory or principle milestones are.
Scientific Management Theory
The scientific management theory was developed my F.V .Taylor with the works of scientific management. After the industrial revolution, the market was based on mass production. The products were manufacrured on huge numbers and the market wasn't focused on the quality of the products produced. The managers were finding it difficult to tackle the management problems and were in search of new techniques to handle them. It brought more distress between the workers and the mangers. The distressed workers did not cooperate their managers.
Administrative management Theory
The administrative management theory started the works of Max weber. with the adventof scientific management theory, the efficiency of the firm increased in terms of its operations where as with the administrative aspects, the firms faced huge challenges. Maxweber formulated five principles which constituted the theory. This theory set clear guidelines for the managers to run their firm and accomplish their tasks in an efficient way.
Behavioral management Theory
Behavioral Management Theory started with the works of Mary Parker Follett. This theory focused on the manager's attitude towards their employees to motivate them. Most of the employees were found short of doing their work and felt no recognized in the work place for their efforts. This theory serves as the guiding milestones for motivation the workers in the work place. This has paved way for many motivational theories. The motivational aspects seem to bring huge constructive impression in the performance of the workers.
Management Science Theory
Management Science Theory is a quantitative approach to handle resources. It focuses on the maximum use of the resources in the firm. Further it has many branches and led to invention of many qualitative technique facts as a tool for the managers to implement quality in the process and services.
Organizational Environment Theory
The revolutionary theory that considered that firm's operation in the external environment. It considered the manger's operation in the external environment than with the internal process. It explains how a manager can effectively manage the outside resources and operated in an efficient manner .It consolidated the inside and outside situation of the business as one called as organizational environment.
