Explanation / Answer
See, the first thing a manager sees while tackling a team with different generations is that how he will band together every one's mindset and will bring it on one path.
Now there are four different types of generations:
1. Baby boomers Between 1945- 1964
2 Gen X 1965-1976
3.Gen Y !977-1995
4. Gen Z !996- later
Classical theory says that employees have only physical and economic needs. It does not take into account job satisfaction or social needs. This theory will be suitable for Baby boomers bacause they having old age are worried about there jobs as they cant switch jobs every one or two years.
Behavioral theory takes into account the motivation and employee behavior. It continuously says that works behavior depends upon the motivation for its work. So this theory should be applied to the team members of age between 1990 and 2000. They are very unstable and wont stay at a place where they are not appreciated or can't find anything that motivates them.
Scientific theory of Management applies science and methods and techniques of doing work. It emphasizes on increasing labor efficiency and most specifically labour productivity through methodical ways of doing work. This theory can be applied to people of Gen X as they want the specific methods and dont strive for any change in work.
