I know one organization and in that organization, they use information system to that helps them to organise and analyze data and these information systems are useful to them to answer questions and solve problems.

These are useful to make unstructured decisions and these are used by top level managers and they use output of management information systems and also use information from external links
Management information system
It is providing guidelines for tactical managers to make semi structured decisions and these are giving information to the managers when they required. Through this system, managers can make effective decisions to improve efficiency
Transaction process systems
These systems are useful to record the day to day business activities or information related to day to day business for further use. Example point of sale system, this system useful to record sales data and out put of this system used as input to the management information system.
