M2M Technology is basically machine-to-machine technology. This technology works with the objective of enabling and facilitating networked devices to exchange information and automate basic processes, which need minimal manual intervention. M2M technology was initially adopted in the manufacturing sector but now it has been embraced by various other segments like business, healthcare, insurance, etc. M2M is also quite popular as it lays the foundation of the Internet of Things (IoT).
