In this regard, irrespective of the distance, communication should take place in any form, be it by writing emails and sharing of photographs or being in touch with the help of social networking sites, in case friends are physically away from each other, is essential. Occasional phone calls or video calls, exchanging of gifts in special occasions such as in weddings, birthdays, job success like promotions, etc. also helps in ensuring good friendship for life. If the friends are nearby, then catching up with them occasionally or planning for a get-together either indoors or outdoors such as at a picnic or vacation location, enables more communication and healthier way of maintaining friendship for life.
