‘French Ambassadors was created by H. Holbein the Younger in U.K in 1533. It is a dual sketch of Jean de Dinteville (on the left) & Gorges de Selve (on the right), who are ( as the name suggests) ambassadors. The former was a French ambassador for U.K, & the latter was a French ambassador for many nations, & a priest. The picture has several characteristics that are present on account of the humanist influences, like the focus on the persons; the exhibition of objects pertaining to humanity’s rising comprehension of the heavens ; the development of human civilization/ culture; the obscured crucifix in the background.

Masaccio’s fresco creation for the Chapel at the Santa Maria church titled ‘The Tribute Money’, was finished in c. 1427.It is an ideal early example of the new course that Renaissance art in Italy was taking.
