The ISPS Code is compulsory for all passenger ships including passenger high-speed craft, cargo ships including high-speed craft of 500 gross tonnage and upwards and mobile offshore drilling units, engaged on international voyages and port facilities serving such ships engaged on international voyages. It may also be applied to any port facility, vessel and offshore unit on voluntary basis.
