1. Company Profile: Adidas AG is a German MNC, founded in the year 1924.This company offers shoes and sports clothing as the core products and accessories as by-products. It has been leading the sportswear manufacturing segment in Europe. The company has worldwide coverage and has a revenue of around 22 billion.

The selection of above-mentioned company is done on the basis that it has quite strong global presence and has been in business for more than 50 years.

2. Vision and mission: A good vision and mission statement must be a SMART statement (specific, measureable, accurate, realistic and time bound).

Vision statement of the company is they are innovative and design leaders who work with the objective of helping athletes to achieve their peak performance

Mission: To become the global leaders in sporting goods industry

Both vision and mission statements are not SMART. They lack being specific and being time bound. So the whole effectiveness of the vision and mission statement is not that strong. This would have impacted the inclination of business goals towards the strategic objectives as well.

3. While conducting this research analysis, I came to know about SMART analysis.

SMART analysis is basically done for a goal or objective of an entity. SMART is the acronym used to denote a goal, which is specific, measureable, achievable, realistic and time based.

Any type of vision, mission, goal or objective of the organization must be in alignment to the SMART acronym. This alignment increases the overall effectiveness and impact of such entities.
