Discuss the importance of user technology security education within organizations. What topics should be included in security education and training?

Directions:

Students are required to post one original response to the discussion questions each week, as well as a response to one classmate. Original responses should not be a word for word rehashing of what is stated in the readings, but rather an integration of the concepts and additional insights, either from real world experience or additional sources. Each answer/response should be supported with research. Responses to classmates should not be "I agree” or "I like the way you stated that.” These responses should again be insightful, offering an opinion or facts based on your research and experiences. When it comes to any organization security awareness training is a must.

The types of training which are given are:

Classroom type training, websites, hints which are helpful, visual aids, promotions.

The topics which the security training should include are as follows:

1) Physical Security , 2) Desktop security, 3) wireless network and security, 4) password security , 5) Phising , 6) Hoaxes , 7) Malwares which include viruses, worms, trojan, spyware etc. 8) File sharing as well as copyrights.

A security awareness training is need as it would reduce the costly errors which employees might make. And also will help the organization preserve the sensitive information safe internally.
