Also discuss your thoughts about what it was that drove the creation of a formal information security function apart from the traditional IT administrator roles. Speculate on where you think the industry will be headed in the next 10 years and explain the foundation of your thoughts.

Explanation / Answer

History of information security profession:

From yearly days the information security was a serious cause. At that time the military people was only using this type of security concerns. Caesar cipher was the device used to protect the messages from third party and allowed to reach for the concern people only.

Later Enigma machines were invented as advancement for the cipher in 20th century.

Later the rapid growth in the telecommunications needs more data security because every computer has connected to an internet that leads to data encryption.

As further growth it needs more security personnel’s to avoid attacks from hackers of today.

I am inspired with Chandra Pandey, Who is a founder and CEO of SECON.

The characteristics makes interesting to me are his idea of inventing threat detection modelling and machine learning.

Machine learning is the key factor that is used in the current scenario of technology, used in automating the process.

So, machine learning will leads to automate the cyber detection very fast and reduces the time consumption for humans involving in this technology. So after 10 years this will be ruling the information security threats.
