We should care a great deal about these "hidden cities", because as stated in the video, they will continue to grow in the future. If as of right now, they make up one eight of the worlds population, that is a great percentage of people, that need attention. And it is because of that large amount of people, that it plays a large role in international business. One important aspect that makes a company successful in modern times, is how socially aware a company is, and what kind of work they do for the environment, and underdeveloped and underrepresented areas around the world. You have company's like Toms, that do a great amount of good for poor communities, by providing shoes to people that do not have them, as well as eye care, water access, and other healthcare access. This social awareness has been the reason for that company's success, and more companies would be wise to follow suit. These "hidden cities' offer businesses a great opportunity to not only do good in the world, but also opens up a new market for them. What if a major company opened up a factory near one of these communities, and offered fair wages and personal benefits? that could drastically change these communities, and even create more business for them. As stated in the video, in the future nearly 2/3 of the worlds population will be living in these squatter cities, so businesses will need to cater to them in some form if they want to remain successful. so the best time to start is now, by helping to build these neighborhoods up, and offer them services and jobs that they need. In terms of international business, a company that outsources jobs in these areas, would have their foot in the door for global entry into this new market. It is a win win situation, your business does good internationally, and you do good for the world.

Yes, We should care about these hidden cities. This is because the next wave of growth is most likely to happen in these cities as it has one eight of population. Generally first mover advantage has long lasting effect on sales, people tend to have emotional attachment with these companies.
As these hidden cities grow, demand for goods increases which increases trade and commerce. this create avenue for selling goods produced globally and hence has bearing on international trade.

Yes, I agree with my classmate post that in terms of international business, a company that outsources jobs in these areas, would have their foot in the door for global entry into this new market.
Generally these cities are underdeveloped with huge manpower. Hence by establishing factory in these area one can get cheap manpower which is bigger part in companies’ expenses. This helps in reducing manufacturing cost which in turn helps goods to be competitive globally.
By establishing factories in these area, company provide opportunities for many people. this helps cities to grow and lift people from poverty and hence benefit people.
