Requirements in the software development process are a specification if what must definitely be mplemented. They contain information on how the system behaviour, or of a system property or attribute.

There are 3 main types of requirements:

a)Business requirements that describe why the organization wants to implement the system and what does the business hopes to achieve through this system. It is important to understand why the system is required by them. These requirements usually come through the funding sponsor for a project, customer or the manager. For example, reduce the incorrectly processed orders or reduce airport counter staff by 10%, etc

b)User requirements are the goals or tasks the users must be able to perform with the product or sevice that will provide value to the other. It describes the functios that the user will be able to perform once the system is implemented. This includes, creating a new order by the customer or checking-in at the airport.

c)Functional requirements provides information about the behaviors the product will exhibit under specific conditions. They specify what the functionalities must be developed by the developer to allow the users to accomplish their tasks. Example, assigning seat to a passenger or allowing sorting based on opening date of an account
