Explanation / Answer

This is very easy to understand

(a)

we are given seconday education person , so toal possibilities = q = 100 (women)+70(men)

And male from secondary education =p= 70

So probalbility that a person is a male with secondary education = p/q= 70/170 = 7/17 =0.4147

(b)

We are given that person is a female so total possibilities =q= 125+100+65=290

So the female persons shouldn't have a college means they can be from secondary and elementary education , so total possibilities = p = 125(with elementary education) + 100(with secondary education) =225

So the probality of not being from college for female is = p/q = 125 / 290 = 25 / 58 = 0.431
