Information System Challenge
-the IT function reports to chief financial officers (CFO)
-CEO and other members of senior leadership team left IT decision up to the CFO and financial system is very well developed.
-CPOE,EHR system and PACS have not been implemented.
-IT supports for department such as nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, imaging and risk management is limited.
-IT team is well regard and the limited IT support for clinical process has not drawn complaints form nursing or medical staff.
-the hospital doe snot have a currently CIO (chief information officer)
-CEO does not feel the need to pay attention to IT but he is worried on :
reimbursement based on quality care will arrive, lab and imaging would be more competitive if it had a stronger IT support: rival labs are able to offer electronic access to test results, and lack of IT support eventually lead to medical staff
leaving to practice elsewhere.

3. Once the need for technological system has been established, it is important to commit adequate time and resoruces.
4. we need to visit health care centers who implemented to similar technology. so we can get some idea.
5. we need to develop technology that meets clients requirement.
6. Once the technology is developed we need to maintain the system.
