Perspective Question from (corporate computer edition 4) Chapter 9: Data Protection
1. What was the most surprising thing for you in chapter 9 Data Protection?
2. What was the most difficult thing for you in in chapter 9 Data protection?
Learning Objective in this chapter is:
Explain the necessity for backup.
Describe backup scope and methods.
Describe the different RAID (redundant array of independent disks) levels.
Explain the need for data storage policies.
Explain database protections.
Explain the need for database access controls, auditing, and encryption.
Describe the difference between data leakage and data theft.
Explain data deletion, destruction, and disposal.
Explain digital rights management (DRM) and how it can prevent data loss.
Thank you I really appreciate your help
Explanation / Answer
1)Backup is the important thing which must be maintained to prevent the loss of data. This is the main method
2) Backup is one of the seccurity method used to prevent the data loss.
3)seven levels are there in RAID.RAID is a concept which is mainly used to prevent loss of data and to maintain the security of the data.
RAID 0:striping of data
RAID 1: redundancy of storage(disk mirroring )
RAID 2: striping and error checking
RAID 3:striping and storing parity
RAID 4:Large strips read data
RAID 5:block level striping with parity
RAID 6: same with two level striping
4)Need Data Storage Policy:
If we maintain a data storage Policy we could maintai n the data in seqential or better way so that we can retrieve them.
5)Database Protectioon:
This is maintained by the authentication and log in to each individual user is the database protection what we use
6)Data leakage is the thing what happen mainly due to the developers mistake while the data theft can be done even when by any people who tries to acces the data.
1) the super thing about our data Protection is the data and database security and maintaining of the backups by the RAID level is the surprising thing.
2) The worst thing is that the redundancy may occupy more storage which may need an alternative
