As a project manager, you will frequently receive several different types of reports and other recorded information to help you control the progress of a project. Suppose your project is falling behind schedule and you need to identify the main reason for the delay, explain which reports, or other information, you might use to identify each of the following possible reasons:

i) Staff who are intended to be working full-time on the project are sometimes taken off to help resolve emergencie situations on other projects. (6 pts.)

ii) The original estimates of development times were too low.(6 pts.)

iii) The project scope has been extended to meet additional users’ requests. (6 pts.)

Explanation / Answer

A.

In my opinion better to design the time sheets and maintain that sheet.This will purely helps the team that how much time we are in the project so that a better output can be achieved.If the involving time is less in the project then he can change the time to maximum stay so that the the project can be successsfully finished.

B.

Here due to several other activities the main activity(project) what the employees were doing was going back.Again mainly from timesheets for several activities within the project where the actual time recorded per activity is greter than the budget.For example if more number of records are required i.e lines coded for program or task or activity.Now suppose think that these types of many tasks are require more lines code than original estimate then definately this is one type of underestimate.

C.

This third one is same as what i discussed in the second answer.several accepted changes were occur in the middle of the project due to some negative aspects or tasks as i discussed in the second answer.At this point of time many additionla developers or programmers were require to complete the task ontime.
