Plan - Plan is to lose weight amounting to 10 lbs in a week. Hence, the entity to measure is weight. Plan details out how I have planned to lose weight. The week is planned to carry out each of various activities to lose weight.

Do - Based on the plan, the weight reducing activities like viz. controlling diet, doing regular exercises, walking, running, swimming etc. are executed.

Study - The results/outcomes are studied on a regular basis to ensure that the plan is executed properly. If the results are not as expected, the next course of action is decided.

Act - Based on the results and any deviation from the expected results, the action is taken either to continue with the activities or tweak the routine slightly.
