(c) (Written response) What was the sampling method used to collect this data and is it a good method to infer the proportion of all students at CU who are Sophomores? Why or why not?

Why is this average of the two means not equal to the mean of all respondents? (Note that every respondent did identify as female or male in this survey. So, every student is accounted for when females and males are combined.)

Does the bar chart show a data set to which the Empirical Rule can be ap- plied? Why or why not? (Note that this question is not asking you to apply the Empirical Rule at this time, just whether or not the rule is applicable to this data set.)

Which is larger, the standard deviation of the heights of only the female stu- dents or the standard deviation of the heights of all students? What does this imply about the two distributions? Why does this make sense? (Make sure that your explanation clearly reflects your understanding of what the standard deviation measures.)

Describe the shape of the distribution of the number of heads flipped. How do the frequency table and ogive reflect this shape?
