Question
Searching a web is a task that many of us are performing on daily, if not hourly bases. By providing a set of key words, search engine will create a query and provide us with the list of search results. There are two types of web- search engine search- algorithm based, and AI based.
Describe the algorithm based web search, its advantages and disadvantages.
Describe the AI based web search.
Discuss differences between algorithm and AI based search, and explain why the companies such as Google are switching to the AI based searches.
doesn't have to be long
Explanation / Answer
Hi,
In algorithm based web search, we will give some words to search on the web.The bots will crawl all over the existing web pages and will search for the keywords given. Then based on the analysis, each page will be given ranking using some page ranking algorithms. The highest ranked pages will be displayed.
As the digital data is increasing the accuracy of the search will be reduced and the form of all the digital data is also not same so the new approach of AI came into the picture.
Here there will be neural networks, which imitates the neutron of the human brain. Both the software and Hardware. The interesting part is that the algorithm which will be using will learn something from its previous search for its next search.
By analyzing vast amounts of digital data, these neural nets can learn all sorts of useful tasks, like identifying photos, recognizing commands spoken into a smartphone, and, as it turns out, responding to Internet search queries. In some cases, they can learn a task so well that they outperform humans. They can do it better. They can do it faster. And they can do it at a much larger scale.
That is why google is into it.
