I am working on my review and I need some ideas to start this short answer response, any ideas or advaces that I should focus on? Thank you in advance.
A book about IT service management defines a problem as follows. “A problem is a condition often identified as a result of multiple incidents that exhibit common symptoms.” Based on this definition and the material you studied about problem management, answer these questions. (a) Think about your workplace or school. Identify an IT problem that needs to go through a problem management process. Be specific. Write a paragraph or two describing the problem in as much detail as possible. (b) Who in an organization do you think decides an identified IT problem will go through a problem management process? (c) What might be a goal or objective of such a problem management process? (d) How might the company measure whether the problem management process for a particular problem was successful?
Explanation / Answer
a.) First an foremost, the systems provided in the schools should be up to date, It happens many times that schools run on pentium-D processor which hardly has any use. Also, a firewall should be set up in the systems, some web client such as cyberoam. to monitor and restrict students to only educational websites.
b.) in organisations there are persons with designations such as system administrator, and or Network administrator which see through all the IT related problems/development
c.) such problem management process should consists of 4 things, 1. problem identification, 2.Solution architecture who designs a pathway as how the problem should be approached and solved 3. Development team
4. testing and mainantenance team.
d.) There are various measures, such as timely checks by the manager as to what is the status of solving the problem is going on, and a feedback from testing team is most valuable.
also there can be UAT(user acceptance testing) by the testing team, which gives approval only after the problem is solved
