Question
Three nodes A, B, and C share a 10 Mbps broadcast channel using random access protocols. Node A is located on one end of the channel while nodes B and C are located on the other end very near to each other. The propagation delay between node A and either of nodes B or C is 200 microseconds, while the delay between nodes B and C is 0. All frames being transmitted are of size 1000 bytes. Frames arrive and are ready to be transmitted at each of nodes A, B, and C at the respective times t_A = 0, t_B = 100 microseconds, and t_C = 300 microseconds. Draw space-time diagrams to show the transmission activity of each of the three nodes for each of the following protocols. Show only the first transmission of each of the above frames; there is no need to show any retransmissions or acknowledgements. Try to draw the diagrams reasonably to scale and indicate the exact time values at which each of the nodes observes the start and end of each transmission. Also indicate which transmissions collide (if any) and which are successful (if any).Explanation / Answer
In pure aloha the station transmit data whtenevr data they have to send
Whenever two or more stations transmit simultaneously there is collision and frames are destroyed
In pure aloha a station transmit a frame it expects the acknowledge from the receiver
