As part of a larger systems project, Clone Bank of Clone, Colorado, wants your help in setting up a new monthly reporting form for its checking and savings account customers. The president and vice presidents are very attuned to what customers in the community are saying. They think that their customers want a checking account summary that looks like the one offered by the other three banks in town. They are unwilling, however, to commit to that form without a formal summary of customer feedback that supports their decision. Feedback will not be used to change the prototype form in any way. They want you to send a prototype of one form to one group and to send the old form to another group.

In a paragraph discuss why it probably is not worthwhile to prototype the new form under these circumstances.

In a second paragraph discuss a situation under which it would be advisable to prototype a new form.

Explanation / Answer

Bank do their business with the trust of the custiomers.Here the bank wants to change their account summary by following the other banks.Doing this it will afect the present situation with the customer.When the customer sees that there bank is copying the structure from the other bank,then it will act as a reverse psycology for them like the bank they choose to build their backuo is copying from others.So presently the bank shouldnot do this as they might loose customers for these.

Bank has to store the records of their customers securely.So when they start their service they follow a structural design to follow up their system.So changing the design is good .THe situtaion should be created by the bank itself.Like they should first provide a notice to the cutomers throught the webbsite stating there is a change in the design.So in the first stage the customers come to know about that there will be a change.Next step in the website it can just show the snapshot of the screen that is going to come to the function..So here the customers comes to know that there is going to be this change like given in the snapshot.Then in the final they can provide the change.So this prepares the customer for the change and also the customer knows the change .
