1.4 Business Context for the Product This product is required in order to successfully track, manage, and communicate with alumni of Kennesaw State University (KSU). The goal of the SKU Alumni Association is to support KSU through maintaining and building alumni relations. This project will contribute to the vision of the university (found at the end of this section), by assisting with the following goals: providing employment incentives fundraising The vision of Kennesaw State University is: Kansas State University will be a world-class comprehensive university recognized for its excellence in education, discovery, innovation, technology, and community engagement at all levels from local to global. The KSU experience will empower the members and graduates of the university community to have the vision, ability, and courage to transform the future. Why is the product required? How will it contribute to the goals of your institution? This section can be used when requirements are being negotiated, to assess whether a particular change is a good idea. This section also helps readers understand why certain requirements have been included. The product will help to manage the data properly and keep it in a organised way.Searching of any information can be done easily. Suppose if someone wants to find the information about alumni, he or she can enter the name or any unique id can get the information. Also in future this information can be used to built other softwares if desired. This product will contribute to the goal of your institution in following ways:- a. First of all this will keep all the alumni record at one place. b. Secondly contacting the alumni will be much easier. c. Also the upcoming batches could contact with the alumni regarding the studies, job etc. d .And if alumni meet is organized it can be orgnanized easily. Hence the interaction between the teachers , students and the alumni will be much more easier .

Speaking about the business perspective of the product, I would recommend a database administrator will be able to manage the data. But, rather than building a product, one can maintain a website where the students can register themselves with a photo Identity and will update their details. These details can be accessed through a search option for the people who have an account on the website. For this, the website must contain a Log-in procedure.
