Some terms that Walmart followed to build its empire are as follows.
Efficient Supply Chain
Walmart's supply chain is one of the world's most efficient supply chain, Walmart uses very less break in between from the warehouse to their store reducing the costs and enhancing the overall profit.
Strategic partnership
Strategic partnership is one of main reasons of Walmart's success , Walmart find the best price supplier and ask them if they can fullfil the demand then a long term partnership program is offer which reduces the prices.
Intuitive inventory storage
Walmart uses very intuitive way of storing the inventory, It keep its inventory in truck and then later the inventory is loaded to the semi truck without moving them to the warehouse , this broadly increases the efficiency of the transportation and time.

Walmart uses state of the art sorting and transporting technologies to ensure the required quality and speed it requires and to obtain high profits and and super efficient system.

Walmart supply chain has been very effective and it uses the vendor managed inventory system in which the manufacturer's become responsible for all the product management in the Walmart warehouses.

By having strategic vendor partnerships Walmart has created a marketing difference and strategic resourcing of the product enabled Walmart to create larger benefits from the market and increasing the overall market share. This help Walmart to create a differentiation strategy .

Walmart has implemented new technologies into its supply chain and they have been innovating as well as implementing state of the art salting facilities as well as maintenance facilities inside their warehouses under operational premises. By having a policy of cross Docking as an inventory tactic, very much successful in creating a market differentiation.

As Walmart in need society opening different bigger or smaller store for capturing different market segments and providing larger amount of products as well as better product range is, walmart has been very successful in convene the message as well as gathering the feedback from the customer for their needs.

Using these strategies enabled Walmart to maintain a high competitive advantage over its competitors and provided an excellent competitive advantage over different market segment.

Online business of Walmart a manager has to go with several different challenges the most important challenge would be putting up Walmart physical inventory on the online store.
