The system emphasizes on quality in planning and control and overall improvement in the system. Thus TQM is an improvement to the traditional way of doing business. The system integrates the management techniques, tools and consistent efforts to improve the system. The objective of TQM is all about application of quantitative methods and human resources to improve the systems and processes for excellent customer service consistently. The basic concepts of TQM involves continuous improvement in quality with keeping the customer in center, systematic improvement in operation for excellent customer service and cost effective operations, focus on innovation, development of human resources etc.
