Do agree/disagree with the statement made why or why not?
The two external articles that I really enjoyed and wanted to comment on were Public HR management research and the Rise and Fall of Civil Service Reform. I thought with the public HR that it was great that it talked about motivation and what pushes people on a daily basis. It's so important to look at these things from an HR angle and see how direct compensation effects workers on a daily basis. Efficiency and effectiveness is another thing that needs to be looked at and this article does a great job of highlighting those things in the workplace and how it can change the culture of an entire organization. The rise and fall of civil service reform article do a wonderful job of talking about what civil service is and how it has affected our country over the last couple hundred years. Civil Services keep identifying the new areas of societal concerns, inform the political masters and help them design the potential solutions in the form of various schemes and programs. They keep taking feedback of performance of these schemes and bring required modifications in them. It is the Civil Services which is in constant touch with the people at all levels of govt. – people interactions. Therefore the efficiency and attitude of civil servants will reflect upon people’s confidence and faith in the governance of the country. This was a great to read about this and discover a new world of service that I had never read about before.

I am agreeing with the statement made regarding the two articles, these are Public HR management research and the Rise and Fall of Civil Service Reform. It is true to some extent that the professionals working in the public HR domain are much concerned about motivational perspectives at the workplace. So, the corporate companies must include these aspects related to employee motivation which will result in superior profile. As per the article, Efficiency and effectiveness is another thing that needs to be looked from HR perspectives. HR plays almost every task related with people's working with the organization.
The rise and fall of civil service reforms highlights that how USA has evolved best practices in terms of civil administration and public administration. Civil services have new outlooks for social change and up gradation as it provides solutions to many problems inherited with governmental schemes and services for citizens. The new dimension, which attracts many people around the globe about the civil services, is its transparent, accountable and more responsiveness services to the people. One of the key parameter for a better civil administration is citizens’ level of confidence in availing the public services.
So, by these above arguments in connection to the articles, I am in support of the statements made.
