Question

I am a physics major with an intermediate understanding of C++. I am taking a computer science class that has a term project that is due at the end of the course. Many of my classmates are already starting to think about making a game for their projects;however, I do not like the idea so much. I wish to work on something that involves both physics and computer science- maybe something that has to do with energy saving or smart energy solutions. I'm just shopping/ browising for inpartion or ideas. I also have an interest to work with Rasberry and Arduino kits. This is an opinion question, so there is no right or wrong answer. Thank you.

P.S. I posted a similar question on computer science stack exchange but did not get any answer.

Explanation / Answer

Doesn't what you said apply to literally any other topic? Coding isn't some magic thing able to be learned on its own. You could just as easily Google physics topics and buy books on it. You don't need school to learn anything.

With that said, if your goal is to become a full-time programmer then my only recommendation is to go back to school. You miss out on a lot if you don't. Like someone else said, you might be able to get into a MS program after taking a few courses.
