Q1

Answer)

Bar charts and activity network diagrams provide different views of a project's schedule and tasks.

A bar chart is a char that is easy to view, read and understand and thus data can be easily represented and compared to each other. Thus, project related information and specific information such as profits, productivity, and others are listed in a bar chart to provide the project team or any other concerned team or party to provide the progress and other related information about the project from the individual activities of a bar chart.

An activity network diagram is a diagram consisting of the sequential relationships of activities using the nodes and arrows and thus connecting the different activities in a project or tasks and thus is used mainly in the identification of a project’s critical path. Thus, the expected completion time of the project is easier to find. The activity network diagram is used to determines also the Critical path, Most Likely Time, Optimistic Time, Pessimistic Time and Expected Time.

Thus we see that a bar chart is used for a different purpose while activity network diagrams are used for a different purpose.
