each group of users?

For designing any network, the first step will be to collect network requirements such that as a basis of how the network will be used, and what will be the features and what the network needs to support. Thus, the users of the network will also form a major part of what expectations the users have from the network and to make the network design successful. As our project is to design a network for a sports complex, thus we need to ask and gather the requirements from the users, sports complex management, and staff. Some of these questions to be asked include:

To the users:

a) What type of operations do they expect on the network to perform?

b) Expected speed of the network and scalability?

c) What would be the issues which the users face in other similar network services?

d) What will be the core business needs for their using the network?

To the sports complex management:

a) What is the intention and core business needs of the network?

b) What will be the number of users or the userbase of the network?

c) What's the bandwidth required for implementing such as network?

d) Are we really meeting the business need using this network?

e) How will the user use this business feature on the network and how will they be attracted?

f) What will be different from other networks offering the same services/products?

To the staff:

a) Will they be comfortable in supporting the business needs as suggested by the management?

b) What are their expectations of the user behavior with the network?

c) How comfortable are they in supporting the network requirements?

d) What suggestions do they have regarding the network implementation?

e) What can be major problem areas?

We need to ask each group of users, variable questions in order to analyze the user's requirements and their expectations from the network and also to understand that what applications the users intend to use.

For the assessment plan of the applications for network performance, we need to understand and measure the following:

a) Analyzing network vulnerabilities

b) Preparing reports of the access of the networks and the max threshold the network can support before it succumbs

c) Is the bandwidth capacity currently implemented enough for providing service to the users or not?

d) Monitoring the network log such that the network functions as is expected.
