1) Informing users and application owners about the updates to these windows servers and when they will be applied.
2) Recommendation on what they should do before the patches have been applied
3) Recommendation on what they should do after the patching has been completed (to ensure that their applications are not impacted by the patching). 3) Assure them that the patches have been adequately tested in the Quality Assurance (QA) environment.

Subject: Regarding server patches to the production farm
Hi Prod Team,
Testing for patches in the test environment has been done on Tuesday and it has validated. Everything seems fine on the servers. Now it is time to deploy those patches to production farm. All the updates will be applied on Friday. All the recommendations have been applied initially to cover the patches. And also the things need to be done after patches have been initiated. As the patches have been applied successfully in Quality Assurance(QA) environment. If any issues occurred please report to the Microsoft Patch Team stating the issue in detail and along with the issue screenshot. We will get back to you after 24 hrs of reported mail.
Thanks,
Microsoft Patch Team
