The job searching for candidates and job placement for hiring managers has changed a lot in the digital age. Now the important part in job search has become the key words that we provide while searching jobs and writing resumes. If we are successfully applying the key words it is easy to search the jobs we want to apply and the search items will be limited to only the key words. It allows us to provide specific location, skill or the experience of our preference. In my opinion it is a positive change as we need not check all the jobs uploaded in the website to find the job matching to our profile. In the current situation there are lots of companies and jobs and checking one by one is not a possible one. Hence it is very helpful for a candidate to find the jobs according to their preference with the changes in this digital age.
The changes have helped the hiring managers also as the suitable candidate search has become more easy. The hiring managers can place jobs with suitable key words that points the skills and qualifications required for the job so that most of the candidates applying for the job would be matching to the preferred skill set. When the number of candidates shrink to only suitable candidates the recruitment process becomes easier for the hiring managers. Hence in the perspective of hiring managers also the changes have positive effects.
The paper resume has already replaced with digital resumes with the changes in technology and the convenience in handling resumes. It is very difficult to handle paper resumes and we need to read each and every resume to find whether the candidate is suitable or not. It is really a difficult or impossible task for the employers when there are more applications. Also there are limitations in making the resume attractive. With the emergence of digital technology the resume writing has become more effective. The candidates can make their resume more impressive by adding certain skills that best suit the job and employers search for candidates with those key words. Hence there are more possibilities of getting projected and selection for suitable candidates. The recruiters need not check each and every resume and it makes the process easy. Now people find many ways to make their resume impressive by using various technologies which include video resumes as well. Paper resume has lost its significance due to the benefits of digital resumes and hence we can say paper resume is dead or is dying. The current job candidates should try to make their resume more attractive using digital technology and particular key words that best depicts their skills and experience and upload in various career websites to get the desired job.
