All the recruitment processes shold be done on the bases of skills not on the bases of relations. You are directly bound to the code of conduct of the company and you can report your supervisor's bias to the higher authorities.THings should be always done as per the organizational codes of the company.
Hiring a stranger or a even a known person should always be done as per the skills but not on the bases of relations.Higher skills directly offer better productivity to the organization hence we should hire an employee for the betterment of the organization not for the personal interest of some specific person inside the organization.
I'll explain the benefits of hiring a skilled stranger to the company rather than hiring an unskilled person to the organization. If the supervisor would still want to hire an unskilled professional then I'll be complaining this to the higher authorities of the organization .
