Republicans follow the philosophies endorsed by the Republican Party and Democrats follow the philosophies endorsed by the Democratic Party. It makes these two groups react differently to any information released by the current administration. These two groups keep strong views to achieve the goals that are in the best interest of the USA and its people, but they select the different paths to achieve these goals. Hence, they react differently. It can be understood by one example.
The Trump administration says to make America great again and Republicans endorse it by renegotiating the trade agreements across the world, controlling the outsourcing of the jobs outside of the USA, putting up higher duties and tariff upon goods imported into the USA by USA companies such as Ford Motors, coming up with the strict immigration policy to restrict entry of people in the USA as well as stopping the illegal immigration from the country of Mexico. Though such policy will isolate the country of the USA in the international scenario.
The Democrats also want to make America great again, but they want the country to play a responsible super power to facilitate trade, peace and mutual cooperation. These Democrats don’t want America to be isolated in the world. Further, they want to create jobs, but not by arm twisting of their own American companies. So, these two parties work to choose different ways and it makes people to form their own opinion and give their weight and support during election. Open discussion between the candidates during the presidential elections is the part of the opinion building process.
Similarly, upon the information of tax reforms, republicans want to reduce taxes, but also want to reduce the benefits issue to the poor people. But, Democrats want to apply progressive tax and want to continue the benefits issued to the poor people. It makes people to form an opinion that which path is better than the other.
